Maintenance and important information
To keep your outdoor fireplace in good condition, regular maintenance is important. Therefore, after use, remove the ash from the fireplace, and in addition, clean the flue at least once a year. In addition, please note that Corten steel products are delivered unroasted. The characteristic rusty brown color only develops over time, under the influence of weather conditions. Therefore, unpack the product immediately after delivery. In this way, any moisture between the packaging and the product can evaporate. If this moisture remains trapped, irregular rust formation and stains can occur.
Finally, we advise against the use of Corten steel within a distance of 2 kilometers from the coastline. This is due to the fact that salty air can adversely affect the development and durability of the material.
