The seat is made of Garapa, an FSC-certified hardwood with properties similar to Bankirai. Exposed to sun, rain, and wind, the wood will gradually turn grey; however, this natural process does not affect its quality. As wood reacts to changes in temperature and humidity, it may shrink or expand. Treating the seat regularly—for instance, with Woca oil—helps to keep the moisture content more stable and ensures the wood remains well-maintained.

Strong Corten steel, resistant to the elements
We craft the garden bench from 3 mm thick Corten steel. We supply the steel in an unrusted state, allowing the rusting process to begin naturally once it has been placed. Under the influence of weather conditions, the steel develops its characteristic rust-colored patina. This process is typically complete after about 4 to 5 months.
During this period, the Corten steel may shed some rust. Once the rust layer has fully formed, this shedding will cease. Furthermore, the rust layer protects the underlying steel, preventing the Corten steel from rusting through. Consequently, you can leave the garden bench outdoors all year round, regardless of the weather. We do not recommend using Corten steel within 2 km of a coastline.

Products must be unpacked immediately after delivery. Because it is important that any moisture between the packaging and the product can be removed immediately. This can otherwise cause irregular rust and stains. All products are delivered without rust.
